Best AMD Gaming CPUs Under R$3,000 in 2026

The FX-9590 pushes an 8-core Vishera design to a 5.0GHz boost clock on the aging AM3+ socket, but its 220W TDP demands liquid cooling and a high-end motherboard. Its unlocked multiplier and 8MB of L3 cache offer overclocking headroom for legacy DDR3 systems, though efficiency scores just 29/100. This CPU suits budget builders reviving old AM3+ rigs for basic multithreaded tasks, not modern gaming or power-conscious users.

The FX-9590 pushes eight Piledriver cores to a 5.0GHz boost clock on the 32nm Vishera architecture, making it one of the highest-clocked desktop CPUs of its era. Its unlocked multiplier and 220W TDP demand serious cooling and a high-end AM3+ motherboard, but AES instruction support adds a niche security workload benefit. This chip suits overclocking enthusiasts running legacy AM3+ systems who prioritize raw clock speed over power efficiency.
